DESCRIPTION:Paddlers welcome to the AuSable River Canoe Marathon! Late registration ends Monday July 19th at 12pm. For registration information and up to date news such as when and where to be click here. \nSpectators are also a very important part of the Marathon! All are welcome to cheer and motivate their favorite teams throughout the day/night. As a spectator there is no cost for you\, but must find access to the river in total darkness\, must navigate among thousands of other fans in order to get a glimpse of your favorite team and then be able to move to the next location. DESCRIPTION:The atlatl is a simple tool used for throwing spears. At some point in the past\, almost all human ancestors utilized the atlatl as a hunting weapon. Atlatl throwing competitions are still popular today. Participants will have an opportunity to test their skills with this tool! This program is free of charge however donations are accepted in the Visitor center to cover expenses.
