DESCRIPTION:Zion Lutheran Church in Tawas is hosting a FREE Oncology 101 to discuss cancer screening and prevention. Topics will be presented by Angela Bradley\, RN\, BSN\, OCN. \nAngie is certified in oncology nursing. She has extensive experience at Covenant in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. She presently serves as a program coordinator and a Nurse Navigator. The role of the Nurse Navigator is to identify possible barriers to care and work with the patient\, the patient’s family\, and clinical care team to provide a team-based care plan. The Nurse Navigators help make the complicated more understandable\, the overwhelming more manageable\, and the overall health experience patient centered. \nEveryone is welcome to attend the event. The program will also be live streamed on Zion’s Facebook site; questions can be asked in person or submitted via the live stream. Refreshments will be provided.
