DESCRIPTION:The community Christmas festivities are sponsored by the East Tawas Business Association. \nThe fun will commence with the annual Christmas Parade\, beginning at the East Tawas Post office.\nImmediately following will be the return of a long-standing holiday tradition\, with the yearly tree lighting event at the corner of Newman and Westover streets\, which will be accompanied by live music. \nEvent goers will be treated to cookies and hot chocolate as they line up for a meet-and-greet with Santa!\nMasks will be provided and required for the children wanting to sit on Santa’s lap.

DESCRIPTION:Lighted Parade from Furtaw Field through south U.S. 23 to Mill Street West. There will be activities before the parade at the Oscoda Township Hall and on Dwight Street. \nThe theme for this year’s festivities will be “The Magic of the Holidays.”\nThree awards for this year’s entries will be offered: \n\nThe Best in Glow\nThe Most Creative\nThe Magical Award\n\nParade registration is FREE and the forms are available here. \nA FREE movie will be at the Lake Theater after the parade!
