DESCRIPTION:Facilitator: Lain Mackenzie. Come learn how to chant with this sacred practice of Kirtan. Kirtan is a meditational and devotional chanting experience usually set to music. The word Kirtan (kirtanam) comes from Sanskrit\, the ancient language of India. It means praise or eulogy\, and more casually means ‘to repeat or recite the Names’ of the divine. Lain will sing a Sanskrit phrase and then the group participates by echoing it\, creating a magical energy between cantor and participants. We will end the workshop with learning a chant that we can use on our own.

DESCRIPTION:Low impact drumming is an aerobic workout that utilizes a 17 or 18-gallon plastic bucket\, an Exercise/Yoga ball (55 cm-65 cm)\, and a pair of drumsticks (wood or plastic)\, to walk\, bend\, reach\, and hit the ball and bucket with drumsticks in rhythm to music. The steps and movements are directed and demonstrated by the instructor. The workout is aerobic without putting stress on joints. Students can intensify their personal workout or can modify it for less intensity\, depending on their abilities. This class is designed for every fitness level and uses basic easy movements to achieve a meaningful one-hour cardiovascular workout. Wear tennis shoes & comfortable exercise clothing. Please use a yoga mat or small towel under your bucket to protect the beautiful hardwood floor at the studio. Bring your own equipment or purchase a set from the instructor for $30. $6/class. Pre-registration required.

DESCRIPTION:The Epic Dragon Light Show is created & designed by Eric Joseph of Erock Innovations. It features LED theatrical lighting\, moving lights\, kinetic lights\, LED pixels\, lasers\, video\, cold sparks\, fog\, fire\, & water. The concept is similar to that of an epic light display for a concert or Las Vegas show\, but without the performers. You will be immersed in an audio-visual spectacle as lights & special effects dance to the epic soundtrack which includes pirate & western themed songs that will take you on an emotional & mesmerizing journey. Run time is about 80 minutes with one intermission. The show is designed by Eric Joseph\, engineered by Greg Gjerde & programmed by Parker Cleary. Loud music & intense special effects\, featuring rapid lighting changes that are frequent. It is recommended that people who have known conditions with light induced seizures\, asthma\, a hard time breathing\, or loud music not attend.
