DESCRIPTION:Escape the traffic and craziness of the west side\, when you arrive take a deep breath and relax with us over to the Sunrise side to enjoy the beautiful Lake Huron Shoreline\, crisp\, clean pine air\, crystal clear water of Cedar Lake.  It is flat as a pancake over here\, so there will be no climbing of any sort.  This entire event will use the 7 mile long Cedar Lake and stay within that circle and the Lakewood shores POA. \nWe will start everyone off with a jump off of the causeway\, heading out and back underneath the causeway bridge before exiting at the beach.  Then a fast\, flat\, all right turn 14-mile loop around Cedar Lake.  This is pine tree-lined 75% of the way as you will fly past all the cedar lakeside residents.  The run is a combination of asphalt and dirt roads that are equally as flat as you run through the streets of Lakewood shores\, again this is mostly pine tree-lined.  You will finish back at the clubhouse beachside. \nPlease visit the website to register and see more information. SUMMARY:17th Annual Ride Around Michigan (RAM)
DESCRIPTION:The Forgotten Eagles of Chapter 3 are making their on motorcycles again this year. They would be truly honored to have our community attend their ceremony as they honor all the veterans\, past\, present\, and future. The primary purpose for the RAM Ride is to promote POW/MIA awareness\, show support and respect to our veterans and to raise money for our Michigan Veterans that are in need. As always 100 percent of the proceeds that they raise on the RAM Ride will go to Michigan Veterans. The Forgotten Eagles will arrive at the Circle of Flags Memorial on August 5th. They will hold a brief ceremony there and then head to the Veterans Of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 3735 located at 240 Chrysler Road where they will again hold a brief ceremony. The VFW will provide lunch for them and all others who wish to participate immediately after the ceremony.  The public is invited to attend both events. For more information please contact the VFW.
