DESCRIPTION:Each June the Back to the Bricks® Annual Promo Tour provides an opportunity of adventure and camaraderie for hundreds of classic car owners. \nMeet your City Captains  \nThis is David and Pamelia’s 10th tour. They began enjoying the Tour in 2012 and from the start knew it was something they wanted to be apart of year after year. Their neighbors convinced them to go\, they had a 72 Chevelle at the time. Pam had just got her 2011 Camaro Convertible\, and wasn’t sure she could go with a newer car. What’s great about the Promo Tour is that it does not require a classic car to participate. Getting to see places in Michigan they have never been with friends has been great for them both\, and her Camaro is a great way to do just that. \nThis is their 5th time being City Captains. They believe meeting and working with each selected City and State personnel has been very rewarding. They also really enjoy the opportunities to view museums\, landmarks and different scenic parts of the state. One of the things they are looking forward to the most is the hosted lunch at Shoreline Park\, and a Bonfire planned at Tawas Bay Beach Hotel. More activities on the beach for the after show. \nThey both feel that being part of the Tour and other BttB activities such as Chrome & Ice\, Tune-Up Parties and the Main Event week in August is a great way to be involved in their community.

DESCRIPTION:If you are a fan of music\, you will want to check out the national\, regional\, and Michigan acts performing on our stages. The huge main stage is the centerpiece of the grounds\, surrounded by great shade trees and in close proximity to food and art vendors\, campsites\, and bathrooms. The Parlor Stage is an intimate indoor venue adjoined to an eatery where you can have breakfast\, lunch\, or dinner\, or just come to enjoy the premium live music. The School House Stage is a hundred-year-old one room school house which hosts all acoustic acts-all unamplified and tons of fun-a favorite for both the festival goers AND the performers because of the intimacy of the space and the acoustics of the room. Don’t miss the School House!!!!! \nOn Saturday and Sunday\, workshops for musicians from beginner to advanced level are hosted in workshop areas around the grounds. A juried art fair features artisans and their own original art and craftsmanship. Artists also host workshops\, inviting you to come and learn how to make and create\, so you can be the artist too. \nThe development of youth musical talent and involvement is fostered throughout the festival program\, including a giveaway of guitars and other instruments for deserving young people\, to help get them started. There are ongoing children’s activities including songwriting\, open mics\, workshops\, and arts and crafts in the children’s craft barn. \nThe campgrounds are picturesque and beautiful\, offering both rustic and some electric hookup for RVs. Shaded sites\, sunny sites\, flush and vault toilets\, hot showers\, clean facilities and of course lots of after-hours jamming. Quiet space can also be found\, but for those that do not want to miss anything\, most campsites are close to all activities. \n\nNor-East’r is a family-friendly event much loved for its depth and diversity in musical talent and its workshops to learn directly from talented performers. The Oscoda County Fairgrounds is the perfect location for the festival. The site is very condensed\, making it a favorite among those that enjoy going to the varied activities that the festival has to offer. Come and join our little world of music\, art\, fun\, and community for a real weekend away. We hope you’ll come and play with us the second weekend in June.
